Description

Bypass Oversized Box Algorithm:

The system normally avoids using oversized boxes if at all possible to reduce costs.  This feature can be bypassed with this settings.

Default Packing Algorithm:

Select the desired default packing algorithm from the drop-down list. 

  • Null Packing Method: This method disables automatic boxing

  • Cube Packing Method: This method is useful for packing rigid goods and for packing boxes into other boxes.

  • Loose Parts Packing Method: This method is useful for packing loose parts. It ignores width, height and depth, and packs boxes solely on the volume a of the items subject to the volume and weight limits of the boxes and shipping method selected. Items appropriate for this method may include bags of small parts, bags of yeast, or instruction manuals. 

Group Shipments by Order items:

When this setting is enabled, the system will attempt to box like order items together subject to shipment method and box weight and/or dimension limits, 

Volume Packing Method Threshold:

The number of SKU's in the order that would trigger the use of the Volume Packing Method. The default threshold is 1,000. 

Volume Packing Method packs all SKUs and the Volume Packing Method Threshold in the largest box possible subject to the weight limits of the boxes available.

Group Shipments by Order items by Channel:

Enable Group Shipments by Order items by Channel. 

Standard Shipping Boxes:

Create and manage shipping boxes. Click 'Create New Box' to create a new box including the following attributes:

  • Label:

  • Empty Box Weight:

  • Maximum Weight:

  • Height:

  • Width:

  • Depth:

Click 'x to deleted a box.

There is no provision for editing boxes.
